This September is the 25th year of Recovery Month.
So let's celebrate!
Speak Up, Reach Out! |
The goal of Recovery Month is to promote the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance disorders.
This year's theme is "Join the Voices for Recovery: Speak up, Reach out," which encourages people to openly speak up about mental and substance use disorders and the reality of recovery.
So share your recovery story with the world to educate people and celebrate your successes! You can post your story at http://recoverymonth.gov/Voices-for-Recovery/Share-Your-Story.aspx or read others stories at http://recoverymonth.gov/Voices-for-Recovery/Stories.aspx
"The Working definition of recovery from mental disorders and/or substance use disorders is
a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential"

DeleteI could swear I commented on this post already. But, thank you for all your efforts, thank you for including K+S/SRN, and thank you for continuing to educate me in an aspect of recovery I know little about.
ReplyDeleteAppreciatively, Chris
Lol! Ya sometimes I think I have commented somewhere, but realized I haven't! Its all good! I am glad to have included your amazing blog in the links! We all have recovery in common no matter what our substance(s) of choice were! I am happy to share this form of treatment with everyone and to educate on it as there is much stigma attached to it! I will be sharing stories about our pasts and how we ended up here! Thanks for commenting, it is truly appreciated!
DeleteThanks for the link and for all the hard work you are doing to heal yourself and help others. You have been a great support to me. I can't wait to check out all those recovery links!

Hey Pearl!Thank you for commenting i truly appreciate it! I will always support you girl, you have been a great support to me also! Most of the links I shared are what you had shared too! That's why I didn't post after you had shared the amazing thing you had done for everyone, i had to tweak a few things and held off otherwise it would of been out earlier, it was neat that we had the same vibe, we were probably typing the same thing at same time! Total pisces thing!! yay! Take care girl!
